Netflix has announced that they are producing a Minecraft animated series for Netflix. You can watch the announcement teaser they released below.
The project will introduce audiences to new characters and will feature an original story introducing the world of Minecraft in a “new light”.
There are no story details to tell and the teaser doesn’t offer anything significant. It shows a Creeper sneaking up to sweep away the background to reveal a lava-filled underground cave system with the Netflix logo.
WildBrain will work on the animation Minecraft adaptation. This is the same studio that has worked on other Netflix projects in the past, including Sonic the Hedgehog series Sonic Prime as well as Ninjago: Rise of the Dragons.
There’s no release date yet, but the teaser says it’s coming soon.
