Searchlight Pictures has released the full trailer for the upcoming film, Types of kindnesswhere it comes from Poor things director Yorgos Lanthimos. It seems like the kind of quirky film you’d expect from an offbeat director.
Movie stars Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Jesse Plemon, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, Hunter SchaferAND Krystal Alayne Chambers.
In the film, “From visionary director Yorgos Lanthimos, Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fairy tale, following a man with no choice as he tries to take control of his life; a policeman alarmed by the fact that his wife, who disappeared at sea, has returned and seems like a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific person with a special ability, destined to become a prodigious spiritual guide.”
Previously speaking about the film and working with Lanthimos again, Stone said: “Every time it’s just amazing. As we get to know each other more, it’s easier, we have more of a shortcut.
“The material that he likes or writes about or is drawn to, I find fascinating, so it’s always inspiring and fun and just exciting to be on one of his sets and work with him.
“A lot of the crew is the same, often a lot of the cast is the same, so it just feels like a crazy little traveling theater company.”
Types of kindness will be released on June 14, 2024.
