Actor Josh Hutchersonbest known for his role in the Hunger Games franchise and, more recently, in the first Five Nights at Freddy’s film, recently revealed that his first rejection in the film industry came when he auditioned for the role of Kevin McCallister in the third film Home alone movie.
The actor explained in an interview at BuzzFeed headquarters:
“I was probably 11, I think, when I auditioned. It fell to me and the other guy. That was the first time I experienced rejection, so it was really hard.
The first two films were made famous with Macaulay Culkin ahead. Then Alex D. Linz starred in 1997’s Home Alone 3, and three more films followed in the series with different casts. While I’m sure it was unfortunate for him as a child, it probably had no effect on his career, as after that it doesn’t matter anymore Home alone 2 like the same kind of cinematic magic captured by the first two.
Hutcherson’s acting career began when he was a young boy with parts ER and in the TV movie House blend. Then he appeared in the 2007 fantasy film Bridge to Terabithiafollowed by Journey to the Center of the Earth AND Zathura: a space adventure. He currently stars in the action thriller The beekeeper alongside Jason Statham.
