Disneyland is full of history, magic and tradition, and one of the most mysterious and intriguing corners of the park is the exclusive Club 33.

When you go to Disneyland, you may notice that above New Orleans Square there is a door with a blue-framed number 33 next to it. This is the entrance to Club 33, which first opened in 1967.

It was a dining room where Disney hosted celebrities, dignitaries and friends and, for a long time, it was the only place in the park where alcohol was served.

Over time, word spread about the place and it transformed into an elite stealth club that nevertheless operated outdoors. The club now has outposts at Disney World in Florida, as well as Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.

Darren Lemkewho has worked on family films such as Goose bumps hero Black Jack AND Shazam!was chosen to write the screenplay set in a fantasy world related to the club. Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen are producing through 21 Laps Entertainment.

The project is said to exude the tone and vibes of Trace AND Night at the MuseumLevy’s fantasy-adventure trilogy set in a museum and featuring exhibits and historical characters brought to life.

For Circle 33the story centers on Kim, a young aspiring detective living in present-day New York, who receives a mysterious invitation to the highly secret Club 33.

In this case it is a magical and exclusive dining club that exists outside of time and space. The club’s members are the greatest and most iconic members of the past: geniuses, royalty and history makers. When a murder is committed on site, customers turn to Kim to solve it.

Circle 33 is Disney’s latest attempt to seek screen inspiration from its theme parks. Adapting attractions has been a 21st-century tradition since Pirates of the Caribbean became a billion-dollar franchise, which in turn has fueled interest at the parks. Other efforts, like the one in 2015 The country of tomorrow or the most recent one Jungle cruise OR Haunted housethey have shown that it is not an easy path.

Even non-major attractions attract attention. Ron Moore (For all humanity) is developing a Disney+ series based on Society of Explorers and Adventurers, while Ryan Reynolds is working on a story on the same topic.

Do you think this sounds like the essence of a fun movie?
