X-MEN ’97 is now the highest-rated MCU project on Rotten Tomatoes

The season finale of X-Men ’97 last week and after all reviews were added to Rotten Tomatoes, the animated series became the highest rated MCU project of all time!

Honestly, who would have expected this!? I never thought so X-Men ’97 it would be as good as it ultimately was, but it delivered everything fans were hoping to see from it and more.

Since the revival launched, the series has been a success with critics and audiences. Then, as the series went on, it got better and better. It is now the highest-rated Marvel Studios project, live-action or animated, in the MCU’s 16-year history.

The previous most popular Marvel projects are the Disney+ show Ms. Marvel (98%) e Black Panther (96%).

X-Men’97 revisits the iconic ’90s era as the X-Men, a band of mutants who use their mysterious gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, find themselves challenged like never before, forced to face a new dangerous and unexpected future.

A second season currently in development for X-Men ’97, and there’s a third season in the early planning stages. As you might expect, Marvel’s intention is to keep the show going for as long as possible.

It’s also been reported that Marvel is looking to build an animated cinematic universe that includes other animated shows from the ’90s, including Spider-Man. With how awesome it is X-Men ’97 as it turns out, I’d like to see them expand on the topic.

The series features the original voice cast included Ray Chase like Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith in the role of Tempesta, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann in the role of Thief, Giorgio Buzza like Beast, AJ LoCascio in the role of Gambetto, Holly Chou like Jubilee, Isaac Robinson Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson like Magneto and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler.

DeMayo developed the series as head writer and executive producer, but was fired from the show. Jake Castorena is the supervising director and Charley Feldmann is the supervising producer.
