THUNDERBOLTS* Actor Lewis Pullman Talks Marvel, But Refuses to Confirm He’ll Play The Sentry

This was confirmed a few months ago Lewis Pullman had joined Marvel Studios Lightning* movie and that he would play the role of The Sentry.

As of yet, he hasn’t commented on the casting, but was asked recently during an interview with The Happy Sad Confused podcast, and while sharing his thoughts on Marvel, Pullman declined to confirm that he’ll be playing The Sentry.

Pullman said, “You know, I think the MCU is always something that I’ve looked at and felt like is a beautiful world that’s kind of untouchable.”

“I think there’s something about going into that world,” he added, “that’s similar to going into television in that whenever someone joins, you want it to be like a character that you can live in for a long time and a look of the world you want to be in.”

Pullman was pressed for details and was even shown an image from the Sentry comic. All he said about it was, “What a beautiful costume. Look at those locks, my God.”

The actor then started talking about what superpower he would like, suggesting that being a shapeshifter would be cool. The interviewer jokingly took this as “confirmation” that The Sentry will have that power.

Pullman prompted a response: “I haven’t looked into Sentry. It’s the first time I’ve heard that name. Sentry sounds like a wiggly, shape-shifting vibe if you read the comics.”

Pullman is obviously extremely careful about what he says when it comes to his role in Thunderbolts*. He obviously doesn’t want to get in trouble with Marvel, not that many people really care anymore.

The film is currently filming in Atlanta, and Florence Pugh previously shared a video from the set of the film offering a small preview.
