This is the trailer for the next body horror film The substancewhat stars Demi Moore, Margaret QualleyAND Dennis Quaid.
The film recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was celebrated with a 13-minute standing ovation following the screening.
The film’s story revolves around a new product called The Substance that promises to transform people into the best version of themselves of their dreams. As you might imagine, there’s a sinister twist.
The film is accompanied by the following note: “Have you ever dreamed of a better version of yourself? You should try this new product: The Substance. It changed my life.
“With The Substance you can generate another version of yourself, younger, more beautiful, more perfect… Just share the time. A week for one, a week for the other. A perfect balance of seven days. Easy, isn’t it? If you respect the balance… what could go wrong?”
The film was written and directed by Coralie Fargeatwho previously made the 2017 action thriller Vendetta.
The film will be released in theaters later this year.
