Jodie Comer Teases 28 YEARS LATER Script, Says It Has ‘Emotional Truth’

Jodie Comer he is destined to act Danny Boyle AND Alex Garland’S 28 years later film, which will continue the story of the classic 2002 zombie horror thriller 28 days later.

Comer shared that she was “so incredibly excited” to begin working on the film with Boyle. Although she is “terrified” of saying something that might ruin the story, she spoke about her involvement in the film and teased the script while she talked about the original film.

During an interview with Total Film, she said: “After meeting Danny, he’s incredibly confident, confident and innovative. As an actor, being on set with someone like that leading the charge is so exciting.

He continued: “I remember seeing 28 days later and I was so struck by how it was so grounded in reality, and was more about exploring us as a species and our behavior and how we react.

Comer went on to tease, “It felt like there was a lot of emotional truth to the movie that really anchored it. That’s also what I felt when I read this script.”

There are no plot details to share yet, but Garland previously offered some insight into the film’s theme. She shared, “It has to do with the passage of time and thinking about what effect the passage of time would have.”

He added: “Is this what you would traditionally call a post-apocalyptic state? Or has something else started to manifest itself? Time is really at the heart of the film’s engine.”

Previously, when teasing the third film, Garland said, “I have a really interesting idea, but it’s a much bigger movie, and one of the things that 28 days later it’s that it was small and punk and this idea is less small and punk.”
