Trailer for Netflix’s Tires comedy series, Raunchy Auto Repair Shop, from comedian Shane Gillis

Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming workplace comedy Tyresset in a garage.

The series follows Will (Steven Gerben), “the nervous, unqualified heir to a chain of auto repair shops who tries to get his father’s business back on its feet despite constant torture at the hands of his cousin and now employee, Shane (Shane Gillis).”

Gillis with Gerben created the six-episode series with John McKeever, who also serves as director. They produced the series independently through their production company Dad Sick and it was acquired by Netflix in February.

Gillis had an interesting and embarrassing rise into comedy stardom when he was hired Saturday night live and then fired days later after clips resurfaced of him using a racial slur on his podcast.

He has since become one of the biggest names in comedy over the past couple of years. His podcast, which he runs with Matt McCusker, “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast,” has more paying subscribers on Patreon than any other creator.

Gillis was later invited back to Studio 8H to host SNL, joking in his monologue: “Most of you probably have no idea who I am. I was actually… I got fired from this show a while ago. But you know, don’t look for it, please. If you don’t know who I am, please don’t Google it. All right. Don’t even worry about that.

Other cast members from the series include CChris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and guest stars Andrea Schulz.

Tyres will premiere on Netflix on May 23.
