The new TV spot for STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE appears to confirm details of the rumored story

Lucasfilm has released a new TV spot for Star Wars: The Acolyteand features some new footage from the series that appears to confirm some rumored story details.

The footage shows Master Sol vowing to track down his wayward apprentice, Mae, who has apparently fallen to the Dark Side and become an Acolyte, as she’s called in the promo.

When Mae is confronted at the end of the promo, she professes her innocence: “It wasn’t me… believe me!” If she’s being honest here, that might confirm that actress Amanda Steinberg he could play twins.

It was previously explained that the twins are Force-sensitive twins and both are of Sith origin. One of the twins will remain with the Sith who are hunting and killing the Jedi, while the other will be trained by the Jedi.

The story is described as “a mystery thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 100 years before the start of the Skywalker Saga.

In The Acolyte, “An investigation into a shocking crime wave pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg). As new clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal that all is not what it seems….”

Showrunner Leslye Promontory he promises it The Acolyte it will be “full” of nods to practically every era Star Wars.

The series is also the protagonist Squid game‘S Lee Jung Jae as Jedi Master Sol, Manny Giacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margherita Levieva, Joonas SuotamoAND Amy Tsang.

The Acolyte will have eight episodes total, with Headland, Garcia Lopez and Kogonada directing the series’ episodes. The premiere is scheduled for June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
