Peacock has officially ordered a second season Seth MacFarlane’S Tedwhich is the prequel TV series to the film series.
The show proved to be a major success on the streaming service and became Peacock’s most-watched original series to date and the #1 original streaming comedy. 1 in the United States for more than two consecutive months in the Nielsen rankings.
The series wasn’t originally supposed to have a second season, but after such a rating, Peacock obviously wanted to continue, regardless of how much it cost to make it.
The report highlights that the series is not cheap to make. Given the live-action/CGI hybrid nature of the comedy, the budget is said to be around $10 million per episode, and it also takes a long time to make.
The series is set in 1993 and the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He now lives in Framingham, Massachusetts, with his best friend, sixteen-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes AND Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Georgia Whigham).
“Ted may be a terrible influence on John, but ultimately he is a loyal friend who is always willing to risk for friendship.”
Paul Corrigan AND Brad Walsh they are writers, executive producers and co-showrunners alongside MacFarlane.
I thought the first season of the series was a lot of fun! I’m sure fans will be happy that a second season continues the story.
