Reckless actor Charlie Cox has joined Zooey Deschanel (New girl) in the upcoming romantic comedy Merv (working title) at Amazon MGM Studios. Jessica Swale is directing the film and the screenplay was written by Linsey Stewart AND Danish Clark.
Others new aboard the film include Chris Redd (SNL), Patricia Heaton (Everyone loves Raymond), Davide Caccia (Homeland), Ellyn Jameson (Barry), Wynn Everett (Palmer), Jasmine Matthews (The great George Foreman), AND Joey Slotnick (Dolls to remove).
Merv follows a separated couple who discover that the dog they share is suffering from depression following their breakup. Later, they awkwardly reconcile and take their puppy on a sunny getaway to Florida over the holidays, hoping to lift his spirits.
