TRON: ARES wraps production and the director shares some behind-the-scenes photos

Director Joachim Rønning has finished production Tron: Ares and shared some behind-the-scenes photos for fans.

The photos were accompanied by the following caption: “This is all about TRON:ARES 🥏 Thanks to an incredible and tireless crew, I truly believe we pushed the limits of making this film.

“Even during six weeks of night shooting you never slowed down. Also, a big thank you to our wonderful cast for leaving it all on the screen. Can’t wait to show the world what we’ve done 🥏🥏🥏 #TronAres 📷”

This is exciting! Tron fans have been waiting for another chapter in the Tron story, and I really hope the creative team makes another great sci-fi adventure film!

The film follows a highly sophisticated program, Ares, “which is sent from the digital world to the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humanity’s first encounter with AI beings.”

Movie stars Jared Leto, Cameron Monaghan (Star Wars Jedi), Evan Peters (WandaVision), Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith (Without remorse), Greta Lee, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo CastroAND Gillian Anderson.

Jeff Bridges he’s also returning to the world of Tron, which is awesome! It will be interesting to see how his character affects the story.

Rønning previously spoke about the film, saying: “I’m thrilled to be part of the TRON franchise and to bring this new film to fans around the world.

“TRON: Ares builds on a legacy of cutting-edge design, technology and storytelling. Now more than ever, it feels like the right time to return to the Grid.”

Jesse Wigutow AND Jack Thorne wrote the screenplay. The film arrives in theaters on October 10, 2025.
