Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac to star in hedonistic ’80s vampire thriller FLESH OF THE GODS

Kristen Stewart (Dusk, Spencer, Love lies bleeding) is returning to the vampire genre Oscar Isaac (Ex machina, Knight of the Moon, Scenes from a wedding) In Flesh of the Gods‘s next wild sounding project Panos Cosmatosbest known for his blood-soaked action-horror film starring Nicolas Cage, Mandy.

The film was written by Andrew Kevin Walker (View, The killer) from a story he created with Cosmatos and produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch of Hyperobject Industries. Isaac and Gena Konstantinakos also produce for Mad Gene Media, the production company Isaac founded with his wife Elvira Lind.

Flesh of the Gods is set in “glittering 1980s Los Angeles,” where married couple Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart) descend from their luxury high-rise condo each evening and head into the city’s electric nocturnal kingdom. When they encounter a mysterious and enigmatic figure known as Nameless and his partying cabal, the pair are seduced into a fascinating and surreal world of hedonism, thrills and violence.

“Like Los Angeles itself, Flesh of the Gods inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare,” said Cosmatos. “Both propulsive and hypnotic, ‘Flesh’ will take you on a hot rod joy ride into the glittering heart of hell.”

McKay added: “This director, this writer, these incredible actors, the vampires, the ’80s punk, style and attitude for miles… this is the film we bring to you today. We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artistic. Our ambition is to make a film that extends across popular culture, fashion, music and cinema. Can you tell me how excited I am?”

Flesh of the Gods will begin production later this year.
