While we continue to wait for Marvel Studios Deadpool and Wolverine to be released, Ryan Reynolds and head of Marvel Kevin Feige are hyping the film in a recent interview with Empire.
Let’s get to what they’re making fun of! Reynolds says the film “feels like the most Deadpool movie in Deadpool history.”
Once Disney and Marvel got their hands back on the character, they promised that they wouldn’t interfere with Disney’s R-rated aspects, and they stayed true to their word on that matter, which is a relief.
You can expect all the bloody violence and vulgarity you’d expect from Deadpool as he and Wolverine commentate on an adventure of mayhem in the meta-multiverse!
Feige goes on to say that Deadpool is “very intrigued” by the Sacred Timeline, “the most glorious place in the world.”
Feige goes on to say that Paradox’s plan may not be what Wade expects, and says, “He learns soon after that it’s not as simple an offering as he thought, and that the stakes are as big as a universe.”
So, it looks like this movie will have some major consequences for the future of the MCU, which I think we all expected. It’ll be really interesting to see what it’s all about and how it plays out.
Reynolds goes on to talk about the collaboration Hugh Jackman again, he said, “As much as I take the piss out of it every day, there’s a real love story underneath.”
He adds: “As contradictory as we are in the film, the undercurrent is that of true love. Being able to spend time with my two closest friends and wake up in the morning with a passionate devotion to say something so awful that it makes them fall over laughing is a gift.
In the next story, Deadpool is recruited by the TVA to save the Sacred Timeline and recruits Wolverine to help him in the job. This is a journey Wolverine initially wants no part of. But after a big brawl between mutants, he signs up.
In the film, “After facing some professional setbacks while going through a midlife crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman.
“But when his friends, his family and the entire world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas out of retirement. He recruits a reluctant and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival but, ultimately, their legacy.
It is also explained: “That damn irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”
Shawn Levy is directing the film and the film’s confirmed cast includes Emma Corrin in the role of Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent e Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al.
They are united by Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsuna, who will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. This had already been confirmed Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.
Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters July 26th!
