Seth MacFarlane on THE ORVILLE Series – “There Will Be More”

Seth MacFarlane he continues to make it clear that he isn’t done with his sci-fi series The Orville. While a fourth season hasn’t been officially announced, MacFarlane says, “There will be more.”

Star of the series Adrianna Palicki has previously said that he has finished the show and that the cast’s contracts have expired. You also talked about how difficult it is to shoot a series.

He explained: “I don’t know, really, the answer to that question. I think it talks about the fact that it might be something that some people want to do, but it’s a really hard show to shoot, man. We shot 33 episodes in six years. “

During a recent appearance on The Mike Henry Show (via CBR), MacFarlane was asked about the possibility of the series continuing, and he responded, “The Orville it was a passion project, I say ‘was’ but I don’t really mean ‘was’ because there will be others.”

The show’s creator previously said: “All I can tell you is that there is no official death certificate for The Orville. She is still with us. I can’t go beyond this at the moment. There are too many factors.”

MacFarlane’s co-star in the series Scott Grimes shared his thoughts on the possible fourth season saying that talks began for the next one before the Hollywood strikes began.

Grimes said: “I know we’re still talking about it. He is not dead in any way. It’s just a matter of when, where and how and reconstructing the material. I’m excited because it’s one of the coolest things to work on.

“So I just keep my fingers crossed. And I know Seth wants to do it and that usually has a lot of power. And I hope he succeeds because it’s one of his kids that he loves and it’s fun to work on.

The Orville Season 4 has yet to be greenlit, and MacFarlane is so busy that I seriously doubt he’s started working on it, but who knows!?

I would love to see The Orville return, and while MacFarlane is keeping hope alive, I won’t hold my breath.
