Post Malone is collaborating with Michele Baia AND Brad FullerPlatinum Dunes and Vault Comics create an entirely new franchise based on an original story by Malone.
The project does not have a title, but will be launched for the first time as a graphic novel in 2025. It is also explained that the story will blend elements of road thrillers such as Mad Max: Road Fury and similar to demonic horror evil Dead.
The story is set in medieval Europe, “where the only thing standing in the way of the horde of demons infesting the continent is a mysterious 18-wheeled armored vehicle seemingly sent back from the heavens.”
Yep, that sounds like the kind of thing Malone would have invented! He said in a statement: “I’m so excited to share this badass story with the world, and I couldn’t ask for better partners than Michael Bay and Vault to help me bring this story to life.
Vault CEO Damian Wassel said: “This is the kind of project you dream about. We will work with an exceptional artist at the top of his game to build a completely original story from the ground up.
He added: “We have an iconic director to help guide creative development. We will bring the world a mind-blowing graphic novel, and this is just the beginning.”
Bay also shared a statement, saying, “I love working with talented people and Post Malone is incredibly gifted. I’m excited to work with him on such an intriguing idea, and when you add Vault to the mix, you raise the bar to another level. This new IP is just what the graphics world needs right now.”
The long-term goal is to adapt this graphic novel into a film.
