THE FANTASTIC 4 Star Joseph Quinn explains why the film won’t be affected by superhero fatigue

Superhero movies have had a tough time in recent years. Things have fallen apart, but both Marvel and DC have made big changes to correct their course and get fans excited about superhero movies again.

The fantastic Four star Joseph Quinn he doesn’t seem too worried about his film being affected by superhero fatigue and says the film is “brilliant”.

During an interview with EW, the actor was asked about superhero fatigue and said, “I think with the Fantastic Four story, it feels like we want to get it right.”

He added: “There are aspects that are very different from other Marvel films. It seemed very compelling to me. And again, getting back to who’s involved, Matt [Shakman], obviously, the director, I think he’s brilliant, and the cast, and I’ve read it, and the script is brilliant. It’s really brilliant. I am happy to have this opportunity.”

Quinn went on to reveal why he thinks Fantastic Four won’t suffer the same fate as other superhero movies, saying, “Superhero movies are movies about people, and if we get invested in the people and the characters and the danger and the spectacle, that’s it. because people go to the cinema to see films we are only on a penny; we will earn a pound from this.”

All Marvel fans hope so The fantastic Four it ends up being a good movie. We’ve been waiting for Marvel to get the rights so we can finally tell this story in the best way possible.

Now that this is happening, Marvel is in a crisis, a crisis that will be overcome Deadpool and Wolverine when it releases later this year. But there’s no doubt that some fans will still be concerned about the future of the genre. Marvel Studios has a lot of work to do to regain fans’ trust after a string of mediocre films.

Quinn went on to talk about playing the role of Johnny Storm, saying, “I mean, you’re going to make it your own. They are big boots [to fill].”

He added: “I’ve known for a while that they were talking about making the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Universe. I spoke with [director] opaque [Shakman], and it was very clear what they were trying to do with the kind of people they associated with. There are aspects that are very unique and stand-alone.

The film is also the protagonist Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Giulia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) was recently cast and will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of the Silver Surfer.

The film is set in the 1960s and will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was called upon to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

The fantastic Four will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
