The origins of X-Men: Wolverine it wasn’t the best of the X-Men series. It probably wasn’t even the worst, as it contained some fun characters with intriguing possibilities, but it didn’t work as well as the studio had intended.
An actor who would have liked to continue exploring his character was Kevin Durand (Abigail, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), who played The Blob in the film.
He recently sat down with ComicBook to talk about his film Abigailand said about the future he would like to have as a comic character:
“I really should be because I remember when we were shooting the Wolverine scenes, he kept saying ‘You’re going to end up with your own movie,’ and he really wanted me to come back and do the next Wolverine and The Blob was going to be the sumo wrestling champion in Japan when he went in Tokyo, but it never worked.”
As for being open to playing The Blob again, Durand seemed enthusiastic and responded, “I’m in the game. I’m always in the game.”
