Arnold Schwarzenegger AND Sylvester Stallone are part of a new TV special where they sit down together to talk about their careers.

The special is titled Arnold and Sly: rivals, friends, icons and it made its way to TMZ. The special will explore the saga of Schwarzenegger and Stallone in their own words.

Fox describes the hour-long special: “TMZ catches up exclusively with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone as they discuss for the first time how their once fierce rivalry led two Hollywood icons to be forever friends and brothers in arms .”

The two action stars were once rivals and both admitted to hating each other in the ’80s as they were defining their careers. They have appeared in films such as Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, Commando, PredatorAND Rocky, RamboAND Cobra.

The two are now close friends, but will speak openly about their rivalry. Each has previously spoken about their rivalry in separate interviews and each also has their own documentary where they talk about the rivalry.

Schwarzenegger previously spoke about how his rivalry with Stallone had “gone out of control” when they competed as the No. 1 action star. 1.

He said: “We were cinematic rivals, but we took the competitiveness to the extreme: we each had to have the best body, we had to kill the most people in our films and we had to have the biggest guns. It got out of control and we tried to derail each other.”

He continued: “Then when we both invested in Planet Hollywood, we started flying around the world together to promote it and we became amazing friends. He’s a great human being and now we’re inseparable.”

Stallone previously said that he and Schwarzenegger “disliked each other immensely” before their rivalry turned into friendship.

He added: “This may sound a little hollow, but I think at the time we were pioneering a genre that hasn’t been seen since. So the competition, because that’s the nature of it, is very competitive and so am I.” .” I… and I just thought it actually helped, but off screen we were still competitive and it wasn’t a healthy thing at all, but we became really good friends.”

TMZ Presents: Arnold and Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons AND The executive producers are Harvey Levin, Ryan Regan, Don Nash, Charles Latibeaudiere and Jess Fusco, with co-executive producer Susan Favre.

Arnold and Sly: rivals, friends, icons will air April 23 at 8pm ET/PT on Fox and will be available to watch the next day on Hulu.
