Netflix has released a trailer for a new shark attack horror thriller titled Under Parisabout a shark that terrorizes France through the city’s rivers and sewers.
The story is set in the summer of 2024, when Paris hosts the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming in the depths of the river.
It is explained that to avoid a bloodbath in the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the commander of the Seine police. Together they will prevent the shark from tormenting the inhabitants of the city.
It feels like one of those ridiculously cheesy shark attack B-movies where triathlon swimmers find themselves eaten by a shark while the town mayor refuses to do anything to stop people from dying.
Under Paris was directed by Saverio Gensand becomes the protagonist Bérénice Bejo, Nassim Lyes, Léa LéviantAND Inaki Lartigue.
Under Paris will be released on Netflix on June 5, 2024.
