Kat Dennings is set to star next Tim Allen is his new sitcom series Gear change, which is in development at ABC. Dennings will also serve as a producer on the project.
Gear change centers on Matt (Allen), “the stubborn widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter Riley (Dennings) and her teenage children move into her house, the real restoration begins.
“Riley clashed with her father growing up and left her to marry the boy she hated. Now divorced, Riley is forced to return home with two children, hoping that she and her father can make things work this time.
The project is born Duncanville co-creators Mike Scully AND Julie Thacker Sully who is executive producing alongside the executive producers of Last Man Standing Allen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker AND Rick Messina and the series studio, 20th Television.
It’s always fun to watch Dennings in the projects he appears in and there’s no doubt he’ll make a great addition to the series.
Dennings is also known for her role as Darcy Lewis in Marvel’s Thor film series, which she reprized in the Disney+ series WandaVision.
