Warner Bros. announced that Legendary’s Duna: second part will receive a 70mm IMAX extended release later this month starting April 19. It will screen at AMC Universal Cinema in Los Angeles at CityWalk and AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York City.
I didn’t have a chance to look Duna: second part in IMAX the first go around, so personally I’m happy to have the opportunity now!
Head of Domestic Distribution for Warner Bros., Jeff Goldsteinsaid: “The incredible response to this film has proven that Denis Villeneuve has created an unmissable cinematic experience for audiences, whether they are fans of the first film or discovering this world for the first time through Dune: Part Two.”
He continued: “The fans have spoken and we, along with our partners at Legendary and IMAX, have listened, and we are thrilled to bring this beloved film back to the biggest of big screens across the country to once again share Dune: Part Two with viewers in this premium format.”
THE Denis VilleneuveThe film directed by Paul Atreides tells: “A brilliant and gifted young man born with a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to secure the future of his family and his people.

The second part explores the “mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he joins Chani and the Fremen on a path of war of vengeance against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with the choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he attempts to prevent a terrible future that only he can predict.”
