It seems Sylvester Stallone found himself in trouble because he was accused of creating a “toxic environment” on the set of Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series King of Tulsawhich is currently in production for its second season.
Among other allegations, the actor allegedly made disparaging comments about supporting actors. It is also said that the casting director of the series, Rose Lockehe left the series due to Stallone’s behavior.
The claims made about the supporting actors have started making the rounds on social media by the TV writer Julie Benson (Star Trek: Prodigy).
Benson shared two screenshots on X and wrote, “I received this disturbing news from my friend in Atlanta who has experience with Tulsa King this week. The casting agent left because she was so disgusted. My friend is anxious about working now. @TheSlyStallone what do you have to say for yourself, sir? Besides being disappointed, I’m livid.
There were also screenshots shared on a Facebook post claiming that Stallone was heard telling the show’s director, “What the f*** is going on with these fucking ugly backgrounds,” referring to extras in one scene.
It continued, “He and the director kept calling certain people terrible names and laughed at them. Then “Sly said, ‘Bring cute girls over here to hang around me.'”
In the Facebook post, Locke, the extras casting director, also walked out on the show and said that the extras actors “all need to stand together” to “prove that this production does not support this type of disrespect in GA.”
The other screenshot showed an email message from Locke, who said: “I ultimately resigned because it was clearly a toxic environment that I didn’t feel comfortable putting myself or background artists in.”
He continued to apologize and included his contact information to solicit information about anything people experienced or “saw or heard.” I will send the information to HR.”
The Rose Locke Casting Facebook page refers visitors to the CL Casting Facebook page, featuring a notice that reads: “We wanted to send you an update on the happenings here in our casting world. We have chosen to part ways with Tulsa King.
“We will finish next week and the 12th will be our last day. We wish all the best to whoever will take over the show. We thank all of you, great background artists, for your continued support.”
Paramount+ is said to be aware of the allegations. No official comment has been made by the studio or Stallone
