New rumored details emerge for THE FANTASTIC 4 and its alternate universe setting

Some new details have emerged for Marvel The fantastic Four which you may find interesting, as they involve the film’s alternate universe setting and the birth of Reed and Sue’s son, Franklin.

A poster for the film was released last week Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm as the Human Torch flying through the sky.

There was also another interesting detail, which included a cool ’60s version of Central City, the home of The fantastic Four.

According to Inside Scooper Can We Get Some Toast, the film will most likely be set in an alternate universe, a retro-futuristic universe. We know the Space Race is a big “inspiration” for the movie too, but the Space Race will have an alternate timeline, which will be interesting.

Another report claims that Reed Richard and Sue Storm’s children will be introduced in the film, and there is a possibility that Sue will be pregnant when she is introduced. It is explained that she will later give birth to Franklin Richards… in space.

If this is true, it doesn’t follow the character’s origin in the comics. I wonder if this will have anything to do with the news that Julia Garner will be playing the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer, who existed in a timeline where Franklin Richards was Galactus.

Franklin becomes an incredibly powerful mutant known for his reality-warping abilities. In one storyline, Franklin takes on the role of Galactus, the Eater of Worlds and ends up saving the Earth by consuming the Celestial growing within.

Regardless, there are many different directions Marvel could take this Fantastic Four story, and I’m excited to see what the creative team takes with it!

Kevin Feige he previously said: “Many people know this origin story. Most people know the basics. How can we take that and bring something they’ve never seen before? We set the bar very high for ourselves by bringing it to the screen.

Movie stars Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Giulia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) was recently cast and will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of the Silver Surfer.

The film is set in the 1960s and will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

Fantastic 4 will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
