Here’s the trailer for a new pandemic post-apocalyptic thriller titled Lazareth. The film is the protagonist Ashley Judd as Lee, an aunt whose life mission is to protect her orphaned nieces, Imogen and Maeve, from a self-destructing world, raising them in isolation until a stranger threatens their peaceful existence.
In the film, after the death of his parents, “Lee adopts his nieces, Imogen (Katie Douglas) and Maeve (Sarah Pidgeon), and raises them in a remote cabin while a deadly pandemic rages around them.
For over 10 years, “the girls are raised to never leave the woods, avoid any interactions with strangers, and ultimately rely on Lee as their only connection to the outside world. Lee convinced the girls that this is the key to surviving in what is now a contagious and violent world.”
But “when Imogen and Maeve discover an injured man in the nearby woods, Lee’s absolute control begins to disintegrate as their trust in her, and everything they’ve ever known, begins to crumble.”
Lazareth was written and directed by Alec Tibaldiand will be released in limited edition in theaters on May 10th.
