Two images have been released for the director Maggie Gyllenhaalthe next movie The bride!which is inspired by the classic Universal horror film Monster The Bride of Frankenstein.
A photo gives us our first look Cristiano Balla like Frankenstein’s monster. The other features of the photo Jessie Buckley as titular wife. Both of them look very interesting in these roles.
The film “sees a lonely Frankenstein travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the help of a certain Doctor Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born.
She goes beyond what they both intended, “igniting a combustible romance, police attention and a wild, radical social movement.”
The bride! even stars Penelope Cruz, Peter SarsgaardAND Annette Bening (Nyad).
I’m curious to see this movie and it will be interesting to see this new take on a classic horror story, The bride! it is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 3, 2025.
