FESTIVAL OF THE LIVING DEAD trailer follows NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD character’s grandchildren

Here’s the trailer for Festival of the living deada sequel to George A. Romero’S Night of the Living Dead. The film comes from the directors Jen AND Silvia Soska (Angry, the American Mary), and they say: “The film is the sequel to Romero’s original masterpiece Night of the Living Dead: the story follows Ben’s grandchildren 55 years after the accident.”

Ben was played by the late actor Duane Jones in the original film, and bravely fought the undead horde before being killed by the film’s human villains.

In Festival of the living dead, “More than 50 years have passed since the original zombie attack in Night of the Living Dead, and the horrific event has become the subject of morbid nostalgia. Looking for fun, Ash and his friends attend the Undead Festival. But the festival is interrupted when an explosion of radioactive space dust hits the festival and participants must defend themselves or they will be devoured by the living dead.”

Movie stars Ashley Moore (I know what you did last summer) AND Camren Bicondova (Gotham) and are joined by André Antonio (The night agent), Christian Rose, Shiloh O’Reilly, Gage Marsh (You I She), Keana Lyn Bastidas (The Hardy Boys) AND Maia Jae Bastidas (Rabbit hole).

It is explained that Ash “has been accepted into college and is preparing to reluctantly leave her old life behind while she is torn between her boyfriend and his friends, and her old friends. When her boyfriend buys her tickets to the Festival, she jumps at the chance to see her favorite band.

Bicondova plays a character called Iris, “who has been Ash’s best friend for years, although they are starting to grow apart, especially because Iris knows Ash is leaving to go to college. She agrees to look after Ash’s brother Luke so Ash can go to the festival.

The film was written by Elena Marsh AND Miriam Lyapinwith Jacob Nasser (Game of deception) as producer.

The film comes from Enlighten Content and will debut on Tubi on April 5.
