The classic Nickelodeon cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants is purchasing a themed restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This is the first official independent restaurant and will be known as Bob Esponja – Burguer & Restaurante.
The restaurant will include several themed areas, including four food areas, retail and two children’s spaces, which will bring visitors into the world of SpongeBob SquarePants.
It explains that the first floor of the destination will house “a burger restaurant with 144 seats and a design set to make people feel like residents of Bikini Bottom.” The second floor will include The Flying Dutchman’s Lounge, which will have 40 seats where “fans can enjoy a unique moment inside the Flying Dutchman’s ghost ship.”
The second floor will also include the SpongeBob House, described as “the first and only SpongeBob SquarePants-themed fine dining restaurant.” [spot] in the world with 70 places. Customers will be able to enjoy a special menu created by celebrity chef Heaven Delhaye.”
The venue will also include a SpongeBob Store and two children’s spaces, “one of which is Casa da Sandy located on the mezzanine level, where children will immerse themselves in the universe of Sandy Cheeks, or Sandy Bochechas as the character is known in Brazil.”
