Roku has released a full trailer for its fantasy adventure series the Spiderwick Chronicles, which they picked up after Disney+ canceled the series after the first season was fully completed. The series is based on the book series by Tony Di Terlizzi AND Black Holly. It seems like an okay show that younger audiences will enjoy.
In the story: “Helen and her children, 15-year-old fraternal twins Jared and Simon, and their sister Mallory move into their ancestral home, Spiderwick. Jared discovers a boggart and realizes that magical creatures are real! The only His great-aunt Lucinda believes him and implores Jared to find the pages of his father’s practical guide on magical creatures and to protect them from the bloodthirsty Ogre, Mulgarath.
The series is the protagonist Parenting AND The revolt of the good girls actor Joy Bryant will star in the series as Helen alongside previously announced cast members Lyon Daniels, Noah CottrellAND Cristiano Slate.
the Spiderwick Chronicles was executive produced by Aron Eli Coleitewho also served as showrunner together She-Hulk director Kat Coiro.
The eight-episode show will debut on April 19.
