The Marvel Studios producer offers details on the new BLACK PANTHER EYES OF WAKANDA series

Marvel Studios has developed a new Black Panther animated series entitled Eyes of Wakanda and thanks to television and animation producer Marvel Brad Winderbaum, we have some new details to share with you. During an interview with Men’s Health, the producer explained that the story is about Eyes of Wakanda it’s on the sacred timeline and officially part of the MCU.

The story follows former members of the Black Panthers and Dora Milaje as they track down vibranium artifacts. Speaking about the series, Winderbaum said:

“We’re exploring so many amazing avenues from an animation perspective. Eyes of Wakanda, more than any other show, fits perfectly into our sacred temporal continuity of the MCU. [Black Panther director Ryan Coogler] is the producer, Todd Harris is one of our longtime storyboard artists who is directing it. It’s about the history and mythology of Wakanda, and it’s really cool. It looks fantastic. And the feeling is, ‘Okay, I’m taking an animated look at the MCU.'”

Speaking previously about the development of the series, Winderbaum said:

“It’s a show we’re producing in partnership with Proximity Media, with Ryan Coogler as one of our executive producers. The show was brought to us by Todd Harris, who was a longtime storyboard artist at the company, just as he was Bryan Andrews, who’s the director of What If…? He pitched the show to Ryan and pitched it to me and Kevin, and we were like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I don’t want to say too much about it, just that people don’t expect it.”

The first footage of the series was screened during the Marvel Animation preview What if The big event for fans of the second season and it seems that there are fans who are excited about it.
