JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX will be a “jukebox musical” with at least 15 famous songs

Some new details have emerged for the director Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie a Deux. According to Variety, the sequel will be “mostly a jukebox musical” in the style of Oh mama! AND Moulin Rouge. The film is said to feature covers of at least 15 “very famous” songs, including 1953’s “That’s Entertainment.” The bandwagon.

We don’t know the full music line-up, but there could be at least one or two original songs as Joker composer Hildur Guðnadóttir returned for the sequel to “infuse her distinctive, haunting character.” [music] ideas.”

The plot for Joker: Folie a DeuxThe plot remains under wraps, but the story will be set in Arkham Asylum and will continue the story of the first film. Joaquin Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, and Lady Gaga takes on the role of his psychiatrist-turned-girlfriend Harley Quinn.

The film is also inspired by Francis Ford Coppolais the infamous 1982 film flop One from the heart. Lawrence Sher praised director Phillips for being bold in the sequel saying, “One thing I appreciate about Todd Phillips – who I made seven films with, including Joker – is that he always takes risks. The new Joker will be released next year and we are finishing post-production. This movie is a big change and will be really surprising for people. I’m so excited for everyone to see it.

There are some reactions to the film that have emerged from early test screenings and it seems like people like what they see.

Joker: Folie a Deux the release is scheduled for October 4, 2024.
