It was already said previously Scarlett Johansson was in the running for the lead role in directing Gareth Edwards’ next reboot of Jurassic world franchising. It has now been confirmed by THR that Johansson is in talks to join the film. This would be another big, successful film franchise for the actress.
The film’s screenplay was written by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, and Steven Spielberg is the producer. This is obviously one of those franchises that Universal Pictures will never give up on. I just hope the creative team does something great.
While I have enjoyed most of the films in the series, none of them have been as good as Spielberg’s original 1993 film. None of them have been able to reach that quality in narrative excellence. It would be great to see a Jurassic World film reach that bar again, but with Koepp behind the script, perhaps there’s a chance with this new film.
