Last year we learned that Insomniac Games was developing multiplayer Spiderman game titled Spider-Man: The Great Web. The project was shelved, but a trailer for the game has leaked and it looks like it would be awesome! It’s a shame that the project was cancelled.
The trailer offers more story details and also shows off some great gameplay footage showing Spider-Gwen in action alongside some of her other wall-crawling friends.
In the game, the Spider-Verse has been torn apart and it seems that this group of heroes must fight the Sinister Six and stop them from conquering all reality.
We hear in the trailer Yuri Lowenthal while Peter Parker introduces the game’s concept, explaining that “Sometimes you can make it as a lone wolf, but you’re much better with some friends.” It also appears that players would have the ability to play as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, and even Venom.
It’s a shame we won’t be able to play it. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
Yo, how much dialogue did Yuri Lowenthal record for this canceled Spider-Man game???
