Tim Allenstar of Home improvements AND Last man standing, has signed on to star in a new family sitcom for ABC. The series is tentatively titled Shifting Gears, and it’s the kind of show you’d expect from Allen.
Shifting Gears centers on Matt (Allen), “a stubborn widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s daughter and her teenage children move into her house, the real restoration begins.
Yes, this sounds like the perfect show for Allen. The project is born Duncanville co-creators Mike Scully AND Julie Thacker Sully who is executive producing alongside the executive producers of Last Man Standing Allen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker AND Rick Messina and the series studio, 20th Television.
Allen recently worked with Disney on the series Santa Clauses, which returned for a second season in November. He is also set to reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear in the next episode History of the toy movie.
