Rebecca Ferguson joins Chris Pratt in Timur Bekmambetov’s sci-fi thriller MERCY

Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep, Dune) came on board the board of directors Timur Bekmambetovis the next sci-fi thriller Mercy. He joins the previous cast Chris Pratt, and Amazon MGM Studios has high expectations for the film. Ferguson will definitely be a great addition to the project! She is big.

The film is set in the near future “when capital crimes have increased, Mercy follows a detective (Pratt) accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence.

Jennifer Salkethe head of Amazon MGM Studios had previously spoken about the series, saying: “From the moment Chuck Roven brought us Mercy and we read Marco van Belle’s screenplay, we knew the film was destined for the big screen. Like our relationship with The list of terminals AND Tomorrow’s warChris Pratt continues to branch out across the films, we can’t wait to see him bring this action-packed story to life, guided by Chuck and the vision of director Timur Bekmambetov. We couldn’t imagine a better star and filmmaking team to execute and deliver what is sure to be a gripping thrill ride and we can’t wait for audiences to experience it in theaters.”

Roven added: “I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Amazon MGM Studios on the release of Mercy. I have a long-standing working relationship with film and marketing heads Courtenay Valenti and Sue Kroll, who have institutional knowledge of film and a proven track record of box office success. The film was written by Marco van Belle (Arthur and Merlin), and production on the film will begin in the spring.
