PHANTOM NIGHTMARE brings new decks and strengthens Tier 0 YU-GI-OH! Strat

Earlier this month, Konami released Phantom nightmare for the Yu-Gi-Oh! collectible card game. This set introduced three new archetypes and support for a variety of existing archetypes including Yubel, Snake-Eyes, and more. One of the more interesting cards includes Iron Thunder, which is like Solemn Judgment but for effects instead of summons. There’s also the Promethean Princess, Giver of Flame who made it to the Extra Deck of the recent YCS Las Vegas winners and runners-up. The three new archetypes are Ashened, Goblin Biker, and Voiceless Voice. The third of these saw some playing the recent YCS with 5 of the top 16 teams’ decks. The other two didn’t make it quite as high, but from what I understand Ashened still needs a little more love before it can take off.

Konami was kind enough to send me a box Phantom nightmare to open and you can check out my pulls down below. What’s your favorite of the new archetypes? What is the most underrated card in the set? Along with Phantom Nightmare, you can check out the new 25th anniversary accessories featuring Yami Yugi (aka Atem or The Pharaoh) and Kaiba. There’s a duelist wallet that holds 180 cards, a deck case, 100 card sleeves (50 for each character), and a cloth gaming mat. Unfortunately, the play mat doesn’t have zone contours, which is a personal preference, but it all looks nice. Check it all out below!
