Director James Gunn he threw The cable AND Jack Ryan star Wendell Pierce as Perry White in Superman. White is the editor-in-chief of Daily planet in the Metropolis. Pierce is a great choice for this role, he will be great in the movie!
The actor joins the previous cast David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Mercede as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, known as The Engineer, Sara Sampaiolike Eva Teschmacher, and Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will skip Clark Kent’s origins and tell the story of Superman’s “journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.” He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Superman: will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
