HELLRAISER star Doug Bradley wants to play an older, darker version of Pinhead and then retire from the character

Douglas Bradleythe star of the original Hellraiser film, he wants to reprise his role as Pinhead one last time, with a film adaptation of another Clive Barker book.

“If we did that, we could maybe introduce an older Pinhead to be aware of the fact that I’m my age, that time and gravity do what time and gravity do. An older, darker Pinhead would intrigue me, one not so enamored of sassy quips, witty banter, and so on.

In The Scarlet Gospels, the long-beleaguered detective Harry D’Amour, investigator of all supernatural, magical, and malevolent crimes, travels to the Underworld where he faces his formidable and intensely evil rival, Pinhead, the priest of hell as he attempts to gain the upper hand. Hell. It is the final chapter of Pinhead’s story.

Bradley continued, “It would be the perfect bookend to my latex life, if I can put it that way. I’ve never completely turned my back on the character, but realistically I think that’s probably the case, and that’s fine. I’m proud of what we’ve done with the films and I’m proud of my work in them. I’m fine with being where I am now.

Pinhead was played by Jamie Clayton In David BrucknerHellraiser reboot in 2022. In this regard Bradley says he has had “a positive response, combined with a slight disappointment, to be honest. This is not a judgment on her at all.

He explains: “I thought the design elements of the remake were really the star of the show. I loved what they did with the redesign of the box. That metal grill around the house, I had no idea why it was there, but it sure was very beautiful. And all that stuff going on on the ceiling, amazing!”
