Marvel’s THE FANTASTIC 4 has a new screenwriter

From Marvel The fantastic Four he brought in a new writer to refine the script. According to THR, Eric Pearson joined the MCU project. Pearson has already worked on films such as Thor: Ragnarok AND Black Widow.

I’m excited about this movie! The thing that I think is cool is that it will be set in the ’60s. This is the version of the Fantastic Four that I’ve always wanted to see explored! I wrote all about the 1960s setting which you can read here.

Movie stars Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was called upon to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

Fantastic 4 will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
