From Software has finally revealed the trailer for Elden Ringthe next DLC, The shadow of the Erdtree. I haven’t played the entire game yet Elden Ring yet, as I am still in the midst of my long journey. But of course I’m going to buy this DLC because it looks like a damn epic expansion!
There’s a lot to say in this trailer! It sets the scene in the Land of Shadows, a new world for players to explore, filled with new bosses, weapons and armor. The action-packed preview also includes all sorts of new creatures and gnarly landscapes.
Here is the shared description of the DLC:
The Golden Order has been broken.
Rise, dimmed, and be guided by grace to wield the power of the ELDEN RING and become an Elden Lord in the Middle Lands.
In the Middlelands ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the RING OF ELDEN, the source of the Erdtree, has been destroyed.
Marika’s descendants, all demigods, claimed the fragments of the ELDEN RING known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength sparked a war: the Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Higher Will.
And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Darkened who were rejected by the grace of gold and exiled from the Middle Lands. You dead who still live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Middle Lands beyond the misty sea to stand before the ELDEN RING.
And become the Lord of the Elden.
Elden Ring: The Shadow of the Erdtree launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on June 21st. Pre-orders are available now with the base edition of the DLC priced at $40 USD, the upcoming premium pack priced at $50 USD, and the collector’s edition costs $250 USD.
