Simu Liu (Shang Chi) will be the protagonist of a new series created by Peacock and developed by the producer James Wan. The untitled series is described as a “techno-spy thriller” and has been ordered straight to series.
The official description of the show reads: “Five minutes in the future, a first-generation American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu) realizes that his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears . Caught between his shadowy agency and unknown hackers, he must maintain a 24/7 performance to ferret out who is responsible and prove his allegiance to them.”
The series was created by Thomas Brandon (Inheritance) and will serve as screenwriter and executive producer. It looks like an interesting show and it will be nice to see how the series ends up.
Liu appeared recently Barbieand we will see it in the upcoming film Arthur the king. He is also set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Continuation.
