The director of Deep blue sea, Renny Harlin returns to shark-infested waters with a new thriller titled Deep waterAND Aaron Eckhart (The dark Knight) AND Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3) will be the protagonist of the film. These are some great names for a shark movie! The two actors had already worked together on the film Suspicion 0 in 2004.
Deep water tells the story of “an eclectic group of international passengers whose plane, en route from Los Angeles to Shanghai, is forced to make an emergency landing in shark-infested waters. The terrified group is forced to work together and overcome their differences if they hope to escape the sinking plane and the frenzy of sharks attracted to the wreckage.”
Harlin said in a statement: “Deep water it gave me an epic canvas to work on, which I’d dreamed of since seeing the original The Poseidon Adventure in a cinema as a child in Finland. My superb cast stood bravely by my side during a rigorous shoot of barrel-rolling planes, tidal waves and ferocious sharks. This film is my tribute to all the action, imagination, emotion and beauty that made cinema the first love of my life. I can’t wait to show audiences around the world the emotional roller coaster we’ve created.”
The film is also the protagonist Molly Wright (Best Christmas show ever), Angus Sampson (FX Fargo), Kelly Gale (Airplane), Li Wenhan of the Sino-Korean K-Pop group UNIQ and Chinese actress Nashi (Creation of the Gods I: Realm of Storms).
