Blumhouse took over Black Adam AND Jungle cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra to direct a new film project entitled The woman in the courtyardAND Danielle Deadwyler (The piano lesson) will star and executive produce the film.
Producer Jason Blum said in a statement: “I have been trying to find the right project to work on with Jaume, in our system, for over a decade. The woman in the courtyard is the perfect pairing, a film ambitious in scope but modest in budget that unites Jaume’s vision with the incomparable Danielle Deadwyler. Together with my friend Stephanie Allain, this is a true dream team and I am thrilled to collaborate with them on the film.”
There are no details on the story the film will tell, but it is certain that it will be some sort of horror thriller. The film is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025. The woman in the courtyard the screenplay was written by Sam Stefanak.
