Miles Teller Closes Deal to Play Michael Jackson’s Lawyer John Branca in MICHAEL Biopic

Top Gun: nonconformist star Miles Teller he finalized his deal to join the director Antonio FuquaMichael Jackson biopic Michael. The actor is confirmed to play the role of Jackson’s lawyer, John Branca.

Branca guided Jackson’s career as he went from a singing sensation in a boy band to the world-famous mega star he became.

Michele producer Graham King shared in a statement, “Miles is a compelling screen presence, one I’ve admired since watching him in Whiplash. He is the perfect actor to capture the enigmatic character of John. From our first conversations about development, it was clear the emotional connection John still has with Michael. He graciously allowed us to use him as a character in the film and I’m thrilled that it’s Miles who represents a relationship that spans over 3 decades, through Michael’s greatest triumphs and most difficult days.

Fuqua added: “Miles’ honed skills as an actor are up to the challenge of playing a man who is scrutinized for the integral role he played in Michael Jackson’s life. He is the perfect actor to step into the role of John Branca”.

The cashier joins Jaafar Jacksongrandson of Michael Jackson, like Michael, Colman Domingo as patriarch Joe Jackson, Nia Long as her mother Katherine Jackson, also 9 years old Juliano Krue Valdiwho will play a young version of Michael.

The film is said to be “an in-depth portrait of a complicated man who became the king of pop. It will bring Jackson’s most iconic performances to life as it provides an informed insight into the entertainer’s artistic process and personal life.”

The film’s screenplay was written by John Loganwho previously wrote films such as Gladiator AND THE Aviator.

The film is scheduled to release on April 18, 2025. The film is currently filming.
