The Pringles Super Bowl commercial has debuted and is here Chris Pratt as the mustachioed mascot Mr. P, a role for which he prepared for months by growing a thick moustache.
Pratt said in an interview with Variety, “I grew it out and shaved the sides, and it curled.” His wife, Katharine Schwarzenegger, told him the mustache might just have legs, and he said, “It’s actually a nice look for a character. Have you ever played a character with that kind of mustache?” He says she asked him. “I kept it. I must have posted something on social media. Pringles soon contacted him.
The actor then spoke about the commercial, saying: “There’s a lot that goes into it. We really love this kind of post-truth theme about living in a world where suddenly someone says, “OK, you’re Mr. P,” and that becomes a thing. We did a lot of improvisations.
