We have a new full trailer to share with you for the upcoming release of Studio Canal Amy Winehouse biopic Back to black. Movie stars Marisa Abela as the famous singer-songwriter and it looks like it will be a solid, well-made film.
The film was directed by Sam Taylor Johnson (Nowhere Boy, Fifty Shades of Grey), and will explore the life, life and career of Winehouse and her explosive rise to fame with songs like “Rehab” and “Back to Black.” Winehouse tragically died in 2011 at the age of 27.

Painting a vivid and vibrant picture ” “Back to Black” pays homage to Amy’s artistry, wit and honesty, as well as seeks to understand her demons. An unflinching look at the modern celebrity machine and a powerful tribute to a once-in-a-lifetime talent.
The cast of the film also includes Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan, Juliet Cowan, Ansu Kabia, Bronson WebbAND Lesley Manville. Amy Winehouse’s estate signed a deal for this biopic about her life in 2018.
Studiocanal will debut Back to black in UK cinemas from 12 April 2024, then in US cinemas on 10 May.
