Oh boy! Here we are! Sony Pictures has released a brand new full trailer of Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire and this thing is full of super exciting new footage that will get fans excited for the sequel! There are a lot of great callbacks to the original film, and it looks like the original Ghostbusting team will actually have a much bigger role to play in this next chapter of the story! We also get some great lines from Dr. Venkman Bill Murray! Damn…this movie is going to be amazing!
In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! Plus, the original Ghostbusters return! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, AND Ernie Hudson we are all back for the new adventure! The synopsis reads:
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to bring ghost eradication to a higher level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the Old and Old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitmann he is the screenwriter and executive producer of the new film. The film is also the protagonist Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn WolfhardAND McKenna Grace. Dan Ackroyd AND Ernie Hudson are back in action with Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz getting ready for some ghost-busting action.
The film is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
