Here’s a trailer for an upcoming horror-themed video game called Bye Sweet Carole, and what makes this game so interesting is the fact that its nightmarish story is told in Disney and Don Bluth’s classic animation style.
The game is set in early 1900s Britain and is described as “a horror-narrative game inspired by the greatest animated films”. The story follows Carole Simmons’ “last known trail and discovers what is happening in the mysterious Bunny Hall…”
I like the eerie atmospheric tone of the game, and who doesn’t like malevolent ghostly men who wear top hats and have a bunch of sinister rabbits as pets!? If you’re a fan of slightly disturbing games like Alice by American McGee AND Little nightmaresyou will find it Hello sweet Carole right up your alley. The dark and creepy atmosphere, combined with the platforming and jump scares, will keep you engaged and anxious at every turn.
The dark fantasy game comes from Chris Darril and is currently in development with Little Sewing Machine and Meangrip Studios. It introduces us to a hauntingly beautiful world.
The game will be released in 2024 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Whether you are a console or PC gamer, “Bye Sweet Carole” will be accessible to you.
