We have more new details to share with you for the highly anticipated event Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire movie. These new details Dan Aykroyd’Ray Stantz, Logan Kime’s podcast McKenna GraceIt’s Phoebe Spengler.
The film will see Ray and Podcast teaming up on the film. Aykroyd said in an interview with Empire: “Ray and Podcast are friends – Ray is a mentor to him, he’s renting Ray’s basement to shoot an Instagram series called ‘Repossessed,’ where people bring in objects they think are infested.”
It looks like these two characters will have some fun scenes together. As for Phoebe Spengler, she’s living her dream. Grace says: “Phoebe is in her element. She’s now ghost busting on a completely different scale than she did in Oklahoma.
It will be fun to see her arc continue and see her fully immersed in her element of science and ghost hunting.
In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! “The Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to take ghost busting to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the Old and Old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writer and executive producer Gil Kenan is directing the sequel, with Beyond director and co-writer Jason Reitmann serving as writer and executive producer. Movie stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn WolfhardAND McKenna Grace. Bill Murray AND Ernie Hudson they’re all back for the new supernatural adventure too!
The film is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024.
